Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years and its numerous benefits for physical and mental well-being is well known and proved by research. No surprise that this ancient form of exercise has become increasingly popular in the Western world in recent years. Yoga is now one of the most popular forms of exercise in Australia. There are many types of yoga, all with different benefits. But it can be said that yoga is for everybody. You do not need to be flexible, strong, skinny or young to do yoga.
If you have a chronic condition;  recovering from a recent injury or surgery; battling cancer or suffering from side effects of it’s treatment; if you feeling anxious, depressed, need support with your mental wellbeing ( we all do, to be honest ), yoga might be what you have been looking for.
Yoga practice brings you into the present moment, which decreases stress and brings a sense of peace and harmony.  A regular yoga practice will help with flexibility, strength, circulation, and increased feelings of calm and wellbeing. It will also lead to a stronger, more toned physique with the added benefit of reduced stress and an inner awareness that leaves you feeling simply ‘better’.
